For years we have promoted the Defibtech AED’s. We have Defibtech AED trainers in the classroom and have highly recommended them to our students and clients. The reason is simple, they are rugged, durable, built to take abuse! In addition they are beautifully simple to use and one of the most popular AED’s on the market. One thing that is very unique is that software updates due to CPR standards changes are free of charge! We are not aware of any other AED brand offers that service!
The Defibtech is lower priced than many brands of AED and best of all you don’t have to get them from eastern Canada or the USA. They are right here in Langley. Need accessories, batteries or pads, we have them right here.
See our Defibtech information page for complete information and downloads.
I took your course this past spring and I just wanted to send you a note to let you know what happened at work this week. One of my co-workers (Dale) collapsed at work yesterday. I got to him and he looked grey! I checked him and he wasn’t breathing so I started CPR. I questioned myself a few times wondering if this was right but I remembered my training and kept going. We don’t have an AED and I was really wishing we did! Fortunately the paramedics arrived really fast. They came in and kept me doing CPR while they got everything set up. They applied the defibrillator and told me to stop compressions, they gave a shock and Dale gasped and started breathing on his own. After a few minutes he was conscious and talking. One of the paramedics said to me “You saved a life today!”. I’ve just heard that Dale is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery! I couldn’t have done this without you, thank you so much for what you do!!
I just wanted to let you know how much of a blast I had while in your class. I’ve never met a teacher who is so enthusiastic and willing to go above and beyond to help his students. It honestly makes me ecstatic to know how well I did, and I have you to thank for that. Before coming in to your class, I was extremely worried, and very unmotivated for this course. Towards the end of the week, I was feeling much more confident. Not only did I want to pass, I wanted to succeed and make you proud. Thanks again and please know that you did a brilliant job teaching me! Take care, and see you in 3 years!
As an RN I need to recertify every year and I’ve done it every year for over 10 of them. This past weekend I begrudgingly signed up for yet another first aid / cpr class. I really wasn’t looking forward to spending another long day hearing the same stuff I’ve heard so many times before! Wow what a surprise! Jim kept my attention the whole day, and I learned things that no one has every explained before. Jim teaches more than “What to Do” but he helps his students understand “Why we do it”. It’s so nice to attend a class with an instructor who is both passionate about his subject and also gifted in his ability to share that knowledge with his students! I also greatly appreciated the credibility of an instructor with a solid practical background in the field of emergency care. It was a wonderful class and I will definitely be back next year!
