Canadian Red Cross BC Workplace Emergency First Aid provides certification that satisfies the WorkSafe BC requirements for Occupational First Aid Level 1. This is a hands-on 1 day first aid training course designed specifically to meet the requirements of BC workplaces. The 8 hour course teaches workers how to deal with the most common workplace first-aid emergencies. Course includes CPR Level A (Adult skills), choking procedures as well as emergency scene management, dealing with shock, spinal injuries, minor wound management, major bleeding, internal bleeding, poisons and minor burns. Students will also be trained to use an Automated External Defibrillator. This course meets WorkSafe BC requirements for Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1)

Duration: 8 hours
Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration and 70% min passing grade on written exam
