What are the first aid requirements for nursing school?

We’ve been getting a lot of calls from people recently who are trying to enter Nursing school for this coming September.  Here is a breakdown of the requirements for different BC Nursing programs. If there is one you’re interested in that we don’t have listed here, let us know and we will add it to the list.

British Columbia Institute of Technology Nursing – CPR Level HCP (Health Care Provider)

University of British Columbia School of Nursing – Red Cross Standard First Aid or BC Workplace Emergency First Aid (OFA1)

Douglas College Nursing – Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR-HCP certification. Certification must be dated within 1 year of the program start date.

Langara College Nursing – Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification.

Kwantlen College Nursing – Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification, must remain current throughout the program.

University of the Fraser Valley – Red Cross Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification.
