What first aid do I need for Law Enforcement?

We’ve been getting a lot of calls from people recently who are trying to enter Law Enforcement. The first question is “What course do I need for _______?” Well the answer isn’t cut and dry, it depends on what Law Enforcement agency you’re trying to enter and whether they fall under Federal or Provincial jurisdiction. Here is a breakdown of the one’s we’ve researched. If there is one you’re interested in that we don’t have listed here, let us know and we will add it to the list.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police – Red Cross Standard First Aid

Abbotsford Police Department – Red Cross Standard First Aid. They require a course that includes child and infant skills so this means BC Workplace Emergency First Aid (OFA1) is not sufficient.
